New Year...new design...

I decided that it was about time that I re-designed my blog with a brown papery theme (I really like brown paper). I probably shouldn't admit just how long it took me to work out how to do this update but, for anyone interested, it was several attempts over a number of days. Someone once told me that that creating a blog was "easy as", in hindsight, they either fibbed a bit or grossly misjudged my competence on a computer. I persevered though and hope that the outcome is an improvement on the first blog design. Oh, I also did this little fairy and toadstool piece (I like fungi) and got round to creating a signature block for my art work. YAy!

Stardust.....

I was rather pleased with this pencil drawing so, after several months of procrastination, I finally flexed my muscles, cracked my knuckles, took a deep breath and laboriously dragged it across the vast wilderness of my desktop, into the dreaded photoshop icon and clicked 'save as'. With this tremendous task accomplished I then...yes you've guessed it....procrastinated for a further few months before attempting the near impossible...adding colour. Here it is.....

I never ever seem to take my sketches to completion with colour and all the trimmings....so....I am forcing myself to face the scary world of hues, tints, pigments, shades and tones in an effort to actually FINISH something.

Another creative outlet......stitching. I've been making little felt creatures as gifts lately and whilst I do really enjoy it the fiddly beasts take soooooooo long to do and then the thread knots up and then I sort it and then it knots again and I get angry and
